I highly recommend Born and Raised by John Mayer. Most people look at Mayer as some teenage heart throb and I can understand why, but Born and Raised is different than anything he has done before... borderline Folk Album....love it!

I'm a huge fan of the John Mayer album too. I bought it the day it came out and it may be my favorite release of the year so far.

I've bought other stuff but the only music I'll never forget buying this year was Jack White's Blunderbuss. I attended a listening party at a local record store for the album, and everyone who purchased went into a drawing with various prizes. I won the grand prize of two tickets to one of his sold out LA shows and traded my extra ticket to an acquaintance who wanted to see Jack and had an extra Bruce Springsteen ticket.

So, to recap, I spent $12 on a CD and also got to see Jack White and Bruce Springsteen's amazing live shows.

Best music purchase ever. Support your local record store. :D
  • Greatly looking forward to tomorrow's releases:
