Some truth I remember

I learned something years ago while sitting on a piano bench
waiting to play my little pieces of music
between the sermon and the singing
I heard a few useful tidbits!
"Open hearts have plenty of love, they don't run out."
consider people with lots of children and grandchildren,
do they run out of love as the new ones are born?
(no!)
they just expand and have more love
that's something I try to remember
if someone loves you, it doesn't mean they can't love other people
(it doesn't mean that somehow it takes away from another)
because open hearts have plenty of love and they grow when they need to

And I won't make the same mistakes
(Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
(And function)
Function is the key
Lol. I'm not surprised. Extending one's big heart in friendship and family-type relations is usually the way the message is best received.
Even while I truly understand this feeling, I wouldn't ever try to use this idea to justify disloyalty to a spouse. A promise of monogamy is the material expression of loyalty in marriage.
