How much will I spend at Midtown?

After seeing all the shirts, stickers, hats, and posters from MIA being sold on tha' BAY, I'm a little worried at how much I'm going to spend in ATL next weekend. Looks like PJ designed some pretty killer designs for this year's festival shows. Guess I should set somewhat of a personal limit. ;)

    "One Jillion Dollars!"

    Let's see. 1 poster + tube ($35?) , 2 packs of stickers ($10?), 1 hat ($25?), 1 shirt ($30?), 1 hoodie ($65?)...

Bring at least 200 bucks, cash!!

I'm curious to see if midtown gets a show specific shirt and sticker like Philly did.

In my opinion the merch sucked at MIA cept the posters. $35 for tshirts that only have 3 tour dates is a joke. Hat I noticed the week after was cool looking. $60 for a basic PJ hoody is overpriced. Liberty bell sticker was cool, but being that I'm a philly sports hater, I didn't really want it. The show specific tshirt was god awful, but not as bad as the rat tshirt.

Does anyone know if poster tubes will be sold at Midtown? Or do they ever let you bring one in?

    Thanks for any info!

I asked that question in the FAQ section of Midtown's website....they said they'd be available at the venue. Not sure if it's part of the poster purchase price or an extra charge.

  • Does anyone know if they will sell Pearl jam merchandise on Friday? Did they have any PJ stuff on Saturday at MIA? Would love to get all the stuff on Friday and not have to carry it around all day Saturday.
Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

At least it had the dates. That's one thing that annoys me about PJ shirts and alot of shirts from other bands I've bought recently. Seems to be the new thing to not offer shirts with the tour dates on them. There's usually at most one shirt, usually tied into the album they're supporting, that has the dates. Been goin to shows for 15 years and it seems like every shirt used to have tour dates, not so much anymore in the last 2 or 3 years.

My savings is already shaking in its boots ready to take a pounding. Just decided to make the last minute decision and make the trip a week ago and got it all booked - it's what life is all about. As soon as the first notes of the opening song are played - preferably Hard To Imagine - nothing else matters.
