Goodies to get rid of.....

A baby on the way and a wedding to plan, bought a house and am headed to Montana in a couple weeks.

Needless to say, I need more money that I can possibly make.

I've been collecting PJ merch for more than a decade and am starting to come to terms with the fact that I'm gonna have to start collecting on some of the crap ive gathered.

I've never really sold much PJ stuff and am looking for some advice on how to get the most for what I have to offer.

(Lets be clear: It was never my intention to flip this stuff. My intention was to let my kids flip it someday.)

I have unopened vinyls: Benny, Riot Act, Ten, Vs., Vitalogy, Backspacer, Live on 10 Legs, PJ20, (Ten, VS and Vitalogy were re-releases)

any idea what a good asking price is for any or all of the vinyls?

I also have a shit load of T-shirts, hats and posters.

Any guidance is appreciated.

    first of all, congrats!!! :D

not sure how much i can help, but i'll try.

    for the posters, go here:
    http://expressobeans.com/
type in the poster & go w/ the six month average

for the shirts/hats, it really depends on the wear. if they're in good shape, maybe ask what you paid for. if they're "collectible" shirts (check ebeans), go with the 6 month average.

for the vinyl, just search this forum & you'll see what people have spent on the items & how much they wanted for their items. if i had the $, i'd take that Benny off your hands! :) Benny, Riot Act & PJ20 are your most valuable vinyls. Backspacer & Live on 10 Legs are still available in the store, so don't list them for more than the 10c. otherwise, they'll close your thread. not sure what the going rate for the reissues is...probably the list price.

hope this helps! congrats again & good luck!

If you are looking to "get the most" for your items, your best bet is probably that auction site...
But you could check that same site to determine asking prices/completed listing prices.
That would give you a good idea of the recent market value. You will have to do some research, but you could come up with a "bottom line" and then offer them here for that. Just a thought.
I hope I was somewhat helpful.
Congratulations, and good luck by the way. :)

You shouldn't have any problem selling the vinyl. There are a lot of vinyl collectors here!

Good luck! Congrats on the wedding and baby!!

i don't have the pj20 posters. (I partied too hard to make it out early.)

Hats that I have: PJ20 Billed Beanie, the blue fitted "PJ" had with the same lettering from the back of the bandwagon tee, the black trucker hat with the snap back and the cursive "PJ", (Im interested in finding the Yield hat with the 360 degree bill - kind of looks like a fedora but its not.) I have the black 10C flex fit with the 3 leaf clover on, although it would take a lot for me to sell that.

The shirts I have span between 2000 and present and are mostly large and medium. I live in the US and have never seen them anywhere but here and Canada and I only bought shirts on tour or through the 10 club. Oh, and i should mention I have around 25 shirts i'd be willing to part with.

Last night was spent inventorying almost all things PJ that I have. But in the process, I grew further attached to the crap and am starting to think i will just be living poor for a few weeks until i can, through the natural action of working 40 hours per week, get my fund back to a comfortable level. I wish the Fed would just print some money for me.

If you're interested in something, make an offer. The worst i can say is no.

I plan on inventorying my Pearl Jam clothing this weekend when i have a day off. I will be able to stomach parting with clothes much easier than vinyl and books.

    This isn't easy........

I feel you on this. All i'll say is really be careful. I've sold some stuff over the years, but lost a lot of my vinyl including a Benny sealed in the Tornado last year. Honestly, right before it, i'd considered selling a lot of it, but once it was gone, and my collection was pretty much zero, i realized how much i wanted it all back again. And thanks to a lot of wonderful people, who know who they are, i have pretty much everything and more (except the Benny, lol) back.
