I wasn't there, so I'm not 100% sure, but I highly doubt it is there best gig ever. Good.....yes, the best......sorry....I doubt it...Cheers,

Shit, I really oughta start getting myself suited....
and make sure you have a clean pair of underwear on! Not to much after-shave (or eau de toilette)... don't smell like a tart's boudoir.. just enough to entice...
Have a lovely evening and report back (on the dublin thread!!!)0 -

Sorry to the doubters, but the Astoria was the best gig ever.....Dublin just couldn't compare.A democracy on paper, apparently well ordered, regularly subverted by irrational chaos.
Manchester - 4/6/2000
London - 20/4/2006
Dublin - 23/8/2006
London - 18/6/2007
New York City - 24/6/2008
New York City - 25/6/2008 - we will be "what is up" New York

Astoria was just mind-blowingly awesome. Hard to describe the feeling of being in such an intimate venue with the world's greatest band right in front of you taking you to such emotional heights that you never thought possible.
And to make it better, it was my first ever PJ show so it was a hard act to follow....and i hate to say this in an Astoria thread, but the impossibly actually happened because Lisbon 1 & 2, Verona and Milan surpassed it!"This town deserves a better class of criminal... and I'm gonna give it to them."0 -

Never said Dublin did compare.....
there have been some epic shows in PJ history.......some that are almost impossible to top......this may make the top 10 all time, I don't know....but # one it will not be......IMOCheers,

but if you werent there you cant really say can you? I mean i wasnt at the Gorge gigs so therefore IMO the Astoria show was better than that... its based on your personal experience surely!
So therefore, the Astoria was the best gig ever... for me!!!
Its like me saying London is the best city i've ever been to you and you saying "there are better cities than London" too which i'm sure you'd be right... but i've never been to them so for me, London isoh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0 -
