Dead...but mauled by cats dead.. not 'just dead in my garden' (one is actually still 'missing', ie hidden). My new neighbours made their garden 'bird friendly'. Not gonna be that friendly for long with all the cats in the neighbourhood!

a friend's dad made my friend clean, cook and eat the bird he killed with his "sling" (i don't know if that's the word, I mean that sort of piece of stick with rubber bands, you can throw pebbles with). My friend must have been... like 10 years old or so. Well he aimed at the bird, never expecting to hit the bird, and he did, killed the poor bugger :(

Needles to say, he did not aim at birds anymore after that
