Favorite Western

What's your favorite western movie?
I saw a few on TV this weekend and thought of your broad this category is and there are so many classics, so I was curious to see what everyone liked.
The 2 I saw on TV were Tombstone and Unforgiven, really loved both of them.

ha, those were the only two i could think of. not much of a western person.
Those movies are really old but funny as hell. Definite recommend if you like westerns.
You haven't seen it yet?
Tsk! Do it
Here's the opening sequence as a little appetizer ...

close runner up is Unforgiven, the last 30 minutes are some of the best stuff ever!
I think half of my top 10 would be Clint. 'Squint with Clint' is one of my favorite TV marathons when they play a bunch of his movies back to back.
unless Back to the Future III counts, then that.
<- and this for some odd reason. Or Tarantino in general.
Actually, I hear Tarantino has a western coming out.
I know! Can't wait
I just download this movie yesterday, was planning to watch it next, now I definitely will!
 Enjoy! The score is quite amazing too, this movie is a true classic of the genre.
I have to watch every time I see it's on. Never gets old

"THERE ARE NO CLIQUES, ONLY THOSE WHO DON'T JOIN THE FUN" - Empty circa 2015
"Kfsbho&$thncds" - F Me In the Brain - circa 2015
Unforgiven, Tombstone, Wyatt Earp, Young Guns..there's lots of good and/or entertaining westerns.
"Why sir you are a cowardly son of a bitch. You just killed an unarmed man."
"He shoulda armed himself if he's gonna decorate his saloon with my friend."
That was Awesome!
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....
Tom O.
"I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?"

Also Red River.
Unforgiven is top notch. Watched it again recently. Also liked Open Range. The Long Riders is a really good one about the James-Younger gang. It features brothers (Carradine, Keach, Quaid) playing brothers.
Don't know if it counts as a Western but I really like Bad Day at Black Rock.
"You brought two too many."
I saw this for the first time about 35 years ago on late night TV. I tuned in on the middle of it and watched till the end. A few months later I did exactly the same thing. It was a long time before I got to watch it from the beginning. Then I read something about it that said "This movie makes more sense if you watch the second half first."
