That's the first thing I thought when I saw them on the lineup. Then I wondered if he'll be rockin his corn rows.

Hoping to make it on Saturday (would be the first time I've ever attended Bridge) as I'll be in town for the weekend for the Galaxy game at SJ on Sunday.

Was hoping PJ would be a part of the lineup but I guess they spelled it incorrectly with a G, N, and R. :(
  • Is this Jack White's first appearance at Bridge School? I can't wait for him to shred in front of those kids! No matter the lineup, Bridge School is such an amazing experience.....

Looks like a pretty cool lineup to me. GnR does seem like a strange choice from someone like NY. Still could be really cool though. Not to say they're even remotely close to the originals but those guys can lay it down and Axl sounds as good as anybody with such a demanding vocal style. The acoustic environment should only help.

I believe it is Jack's first appearance. Funny story. When I figured out I was going to be up there that weekend before the lineup was announced, I actually went and looked at past lineups to see if any of his previous incarnations had played before. I was really hoping he'd be there. ;)

Looks like a solid lineup. The Bridge School concerts are such an amazing experience and the cause is more than worthy.

I still think Trent Reznor could be in my top 10 live performances I've ever seen. Dude has so much talent.

    any problems with it?

$5 to watch the BS concert.

will ustream keep charging me, or is this one time charge?

He's a big dude, but Axl in his heyday could take him no doubt. White has trouble with minor critiques. Axl could probably make him cry with a few well placed insults.

My weekend was made when Ed showed up to play a couple songs at Bridge school tonight. Steve Martin had tweeted a photo of him with Ed and his daughter backstage earlier in the day. After I saw that, I was hoping he'd hop on stage. :D
One really cool thing was that when Neil brought everybody back on stage for the "Rockin' in the Free World" finale, Ed was up front and was motioning at someone to come up. He then went back and pulled Gary Clark Jr. up by the hand to sing with him, John Doe, and others. We were late arriving so I listened to all of Gary's set as we walked up and entered, but it was awesome to see Ed embrace him and pull him into sharing the spotlight. They shook hands and were chatting too after wrapping up. Would love for him to have an opening slot on PJ's next tour.

It was terrible live in person. Bit my tongue though as my friends were there to see them. I wish they would have just booked Ed/PJ instead.

    tom waits!

Last Minute Tom will perform a full acoustic set featuring songs from his album BAD AS ME with his band (David Hidalgo guitar; Les Claypool bass; Casey Waits, drums; and more).

Waits, who has not toured since 2008 and has no plans to tour, says "I had every good intention to stay home and work on my JD Salinger Halloween mask, but when Neil told me yesterday he was serving burnt cow's eyes on a flat tire and it's all gluten free, I invited myself!"
