what's with the thumping bass in cars? seriously?

i've never understood this. you can't hear the music & you're pissing off everyone around you. i listen to loud music when i'm driving, but not like this.

and what about when the bass is thumping when all/most of the speakers are blown? and you can hear them rattle. unreal.

and what's with people that have $3000 in car stereo equipment in a $500 car?

sorry for the rant. but our fucking neighbor always pulls up (bass thumping) & sits there for at least 5 minutes. our dog hates it & won't stop barking.

    Used to be a bad problem around here, especially through the 90's, but it doesn't seem to be anywhere near as popular to "bump" now as it was back then..........and it's a better world for it (at least around here)

    pretty funny. i took Sam for a walk yesterday morning & they were loading up a U-Haul. my landlord told me that the police had received 30 complaints in the last 3 months. the old landlord didn't do anything about it, but he gave them a warning when they bought the property.

    I was at the gas station the other day and this dude was ghetto blasting in his beat up Carrolla. The bumper was rattling and it sounded like shit.
