Oh well, I'll save my pennies for something else then!
Like a book among the many on a shelf...
Dublin 02 Arena - 22/6/10. Belfast Odyssey Arena - 23/6/10. London Hyde Park - 25/6/10. Berlin Wuhlheide - 30/6/10.
Manchester MEN - 20/06/12. Manchester MEN - 21/06/12
so probably either munich or milan for me...leaning more towards munich as I hate milan, but we'll see.
D, I have no idea where in Greece you are based, but when I was looking at flights for attending a conference last year, I found that you could fly from Thessaloniki to Milan-Bergamo for super cheap, about 11€ one way.
im 2 hours from thessaloniki, ill search for flights, lets see how it goes, need to see the date tho
Milan is on Saturday, makes it easier to travel, I just found tickets for 88€, haven't checked for easyjet yet. I'm starting to think about it...
did you check ryanair?
I'm still not sure which gig I want to go to...I'll pick the one that has some fellow freaks
Awesome, more dates of PJ side projects that Pearl Jam will not be touring as a full band, or working on their next studio album which will end up coming up 4-5 years after backspacer! :-(
My first thought as well.
Brad is so good, I don't consider the band as a side project at all.
Sorted for Islington Academy
115 bucks for half a haircut by a novice? I want my money back!

Not at all. It's just an enquiry to see if they both went to see Shawn. :?
Does it matter if they did or not? Maybe they aren't into Shawn's solo stuff. Maybe they were just hoping to see Brad play a show abit more local to them.

your right, I just got my hopes up that for their first uk tour they'd play north of the border, and a little dissapointed, I just can't really afford the travel costs etc, to travel that far south, its not the end of the world, and before by typing "actually" in capitals, it was meant as tounge in cheek. and to e honest i'm not too familiar with shawn solo stuff, so therefore wouldn'tve noticed he played in 2008. thanks boyo for sticking up for me, please don't let this turn into anything it doesn't have to.

Yeah, I was up for the London one but that's a bit too rich for me at the moment. Think £15 is my limit for gigs right now...
I was a little surprised by the price. Thought it'd be between £15 and £20 per ticket. Add in the booking fees & whatever else and its £26 per ticket for Manchester & Birmingham and £28.50 for London. Then there's the £5.50 postage charge on top. Seems abit much for the venues there are playing. I'd probably pay that price if it was at Manchester Apollo say but for the Uni venue? Nah!
And after being called a 'troll' by someone representing Brad on here I'll definitely keep my money in my wallet.

I just asked a question Boyo. The trend for everything to turn into public aggro on forums is depressing and I won't sully this positive thread with it. If you want to discuss further then PM me.
Got my ticket for London. I like the O2 Academy in Islington as a venue - good sound, conveniently located bars and decent views of the stage from everywhere.
£26 + all the bullshit fees for a gig at manchester academy is a bit steep but i will be there.
2006 - Astoria, Dublin, Leeds
2007 - London
2009 - London, Manchester, London
2010 - Dublin, Belfast, London
2011 - Alpine Valley x2
2012 - Isle of Wight, Manchester x2
A load of you are a bunch of ingrates. Band tours. "I can't afford to travel to xxx. They're not coming to me. Poor me." How dare a band not play everywhere! The nerve of them. You've got 6 months to save, for Chrissakes. Give over. Shawn did play 5 UK dates in May 2008, and the York show I attended was pure magic.
And it's hardly the band's fault PJ are taking their time between albums. The side projects get done because PJ have the time off. PJ are the priority. Ask Matt Cameron and Soundgarden.
As to whomever mentioned the San Fran show and the state Shawn was in: that was a first for Shawn for, yanno, over 20 FUCKING YEARS of playing shows. None of us are perfect. I know about 10 people, most of whom aren't particular fans of Shawn's, and they all loved it regardless.
Anyway, I've my tix for all 3 UK shows, and it's gonna be a blast. I haven't been to Utrecht since 2001, so I might just fucking put that on the schedule, too.
While a think of it: ya'll all know there's 2 different pressing of Brad's last album on vinyl, yes? The US version is the US version. The Euro version is on a different label and comes with a 7" of the same two tracks of the US RSD clear vinyl 7", but it's a black 7" instead. Some of us still geek out over stuff like that.
Also, Music on Vinyl has released Satchel's "The Family" as a 12" LP. It has all the same liner notes and artwork as the 1996 CD. The album wasn't released on vinyl in '96, so this is the first vinyl pressing of it.
Having seen Brad in Adelaide in 1998 and Washington, DC in 2002, I can't wait to see them in Europe and the UK. It's gonna be the bomb!
My Pearl Jam shows: 1 in 1995, 2 in 1998, 20 in 2003, 13 in 2006, 3 in 2007, 8 in 2008, 5 in 2009, 4 in 2010, 5 in 2012. EV: 8 in 2011, 1 in 2012. Brad: 1 in 1998, 1 in 2002.
