Pearl Jam in "Lone Ranger" movie? UPDATE: IMPOSTER!

Was reading on another forum I belong to (non PJ related) how some guy met Mcready last week. They were in Albuquerque last week filming a scene as the bar band in the new Lone Ranger movie? Not sure if this is true... :corn:


UPDATE> The guy in the original post. Looked at some pics and video of Mike on Youtube and has decided that it wasn't him, guy kinda looked like him. Doesn't understand why someone would do this...

GTFO! That would be awesome! Although it would also suck if the whole band was in ABQ and I missed them. I also wasn't aware they were STILL filming this... it's been quite a few months. When EV show was scheduled for April, I was thinking it'd be cool if he brought out Depp to play Society again.

I need more details on this! I wouldn't think the whole band would come all the way to ABQ just to pretend to be a band in a movie... although these days I guess anything is possible! Maybe they'll realize it's been 12 years since they've been here and they should come back and be a REAL band and play a show next year.

I live around the corner from a Macaroni Grill that I'll stop in and have beer at in the bar when I'm out doing errands. A guy comes in and sits down and we start talking and he ask me what I do so I tell him. I ask him what he does and he tells me he's in a band. I ask him what the name of his band is and he says, Pearl Jam. Then it dawns on me who he is. They're staying in a hotel across the street and are filming out of Santa Fe in the new Lone Ranger movie in which they play a band in a cantina. We talked for a bit then I took off but he seemed like a really nice and down to earth guy.

Maybe it's that guy who was a Mike impersonator a few years ago. Maybe he's at it again. I swear there was some ABQ connection to that guy when it hit the news.

WOW, I wonder if it's the SAME imposter from a few years ago... see ABQ journal link above... Watch out Mike! Someone is gonna swindle money again using your name!

Well this is kind of a relief. Seems a little lame if the whole band got together just for that.
