For Those Who Live in Philly

I'm taking a small road trip and plan to stay in Philadelphia for a few days. I know Philly is known for American history and all of that, but I'm looking for some tips and things to do on the non-touristy side of things.

Can any of you jammers recommend some fun things to do, good record stores, places to eat etc.? Maybe a good music store that has a good variety of drums and related supplies?

Thanks for any help!

  • Try a dinner at Amada, do chefs choice 6 course meal, it's a great experience. You can also have it paired with beer or wine. Kind of a splurge, but you won't forget it... If your into beer, go to either Monks Cafe or Eulogy, both are belgian beer bars with amazing mussels!

Check for a sporting event. Got Phillies tix. Good thing they're not playing well this year and tix were easy to get.

Cheese Steaks - Pat, Gino's, or a less obvious choice?
