i am not sure what deserves the facepalm more:
1. there is an actual show with the name "honey boo boo" on tv...
or
2. more people ages 18-49 saw the honey boo boo show than the potential vp's prime time speech...

The fourth episode of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," TLC's reality show about a self-proclaimed "redneck" family, drew more viewers in a key demographic Wednesday night than vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan's speech at the Republican National Convention drew on Fox News, the nation's biggest cable news network.
Among adults 18-49, the show pulled a 1.3 rating with 2.9 million viewers, according to Nielsen.
The half-hour series is a spinoff from TLC's hit "Toddlers and Tiaras."

Hearing about that show and listening to all the election crap (and crap news) makes me realise how much I do not miss the states.....
Both are/were being shown on CNN, MSNBC, Fox, C-SPAN, ABC, NBC, and CBS, and maybe a few other channels.
from what i watched of the gop convention i watched it on fox.
i thought the article was for multiple networks

I found PBS's coverage to be the least annoying. Less shit flashing on the screen, smarter/quieter talking heads and better guests.
That is the way to go as i did the same watched some of it on PBS....less crap talk from both sides.
