First time being a part of the mass of people right in front of the stage and couldn't imagine buy a seated ticket ever again. Just want to keep reliving the weekend all over again. Can't wait for next time!!!

Dimi...i think trying to understand the details of Mike's playing is like trying to understand the human brain. Not even the most well-known scientific mind with a PhD in Guitar would understand, much less even be able to formulate a coherent sentence to explain it.
Leave it alone, Dimi. It's liable to take you to a place where you wish you'd never gone and will never be able to leave. It's dark...and scary in there.

I literally got chills during the show for this performance. I have know seen this song 5 times in person and listened to it countless times on bootlegs and Ten, and I am still loving it every time.
As it said in Swedish reviews when they played here: Black is the best song ever written!!
i really like you..

What an awesome solo. Is there any guitar player out there who can put emotion in his playing as Mike can? Just fucking amazing.
for me is number 1 in this..

Great stuff. Like many others, I have seen and heard this tune countless times live and never get tired of it. A song so old and they still sometimes play it like it's 1991.
Love Jeff grooving at the beginning and through most of the song.

Realistically (and Mike would probably agree with this), Mike is not the 'best' guitarist in the world. I think it's safe to say that as we're on a PJ forum we're probably all a bit biased There are plenty of guys that can play faster, play multiple styles, contribute more as a songwriter etc...
but...
when you see him live there is just something about his playing that cannot be put into words. It just elevates songs onto a whole other level. This version of Black is such a good example of that. How many times have we all heard it? And we're still blown away. That, and the fact that he's such a nice guy, is what makes Michael Jemima McCready so fucking cool!

Well said prior post. While there isn't much "flash" and he doesn't contribute as much as a song writer as many other well known guitarists, he has that "something" and his own flare that makes him one of the most underrated and underappreciated guitarists out there outside of our little PJ bubble.
