    Driving home in the rain with You Are playing on repeat. The drive was supposed to take around 20 mins, I ended up circling the town for hour and a half listening to Riot Act. Best times! Dark, rain, car, PJ! <3:)

    Riot Act is very much a dark, rainy album. Having been to Croatia, I can picture it now! "Yooooouu aaare, you aaare" and then the sweet robotic sounding guitar comes in...

    Having one of my students come up to me and say "I heard Pearl Jam last night/this morning and it made me think of you" OR even better -

    I had former students contact me to ask if I was going to PJ20 because they were going and they wanted to buy me a drink as a thank you for introducing them to the band! That was a great weekend!

    I usually try to have only positive things to say most of the time and really love this thread! I don't think there is a single pj song I don't love but lately Black has really been speaking to me. Especially the version on Benny has me completely f*cking breathless. For many years I skipped over Black bc it was too painful to hear. I just couldn't handle the emotionality of it as this brought back terribly painful memories of loss from my own life back in the early '90s. Now I hear it and it heals me all in the span of 7 to 8 minutes. It's like my heart gets ripped out and put neatly back in again every time I hear it. I have no doubt that Black is a masterpiece in every way. Thx pj for such a beautiful gift. I love you Black!!!
