The President grades his performance as an "incomplete"

I don't know what to make of his answer to the question "what grade would you give yourself?".
Didn't he give himself a B+ not too long ago?
In university an incomplete means you didn't finish your work during the semester. That incomplete truly is an "F" right? It's like a little favor the prof gives you if they will accept some work after the semester is over.
This "incomplete" remark confuses me.
What does he think he has been responsible for the last 4 years?
Little help???

I can't stand President Obama, but politically I think this was a wise answer. He's trying to hammer home the whole - I need a bit more time mantra. Let's face it, if he really was graded "now" and the past.. he'd get an F.
So, he used an out. Arguing his methods will work, but they haven't quite gotten fully digested into the economy yet. It's obviously complete bullshit. But, his team probably spent hours thinking up an answer on this question. And his response was "incomplete".
The irony, of course, is this lends him to attacks on "not being there", golfing too much, etc. But, if he gave himself a "B" or "A" he'd probably get even worse attacks.
It will be interesting to see how this is used by his challengers.

Yeah...you sounds right. But wasn't his answer off the cuff and he didn't have time to think about it?
But on the other hand an actual incomplete only goes for the time you had to earn the grade...in other words if you take the challenge again that incomplete turns into an F and you have to start from scratch next time. So this answer of incomplete makes me consider that he is used to getting incompletes in college, ya know?
right...but as an analogy it's strange to me and I don't know how to take the President's idea of what he is doing.
Then when you think about the successes of his first term and the consequences of his success...what are we in for if he completes his agenda. Which incidentally was to "fundamentally transform the USA"
Over 4 million jobs gained since Obama took office; over 4.5 million in the private sector. (job losses have occurred in the public sector). (Corporate profits are up. CEOs are still enjoying their $20 million salaries, while announcing layoffs by the thousands.)
"We" (I use "we" in quotes because our men and women in uniform are fighting in the Middle East and not spending time on a Pearl Jam website) are out of Iraq (for the most part) but still in Afghanistan (and Pakistan, and Yemen.....)

So, Incomplete is a decent answer in my opinion.
Hows that Peace Prize working out for you Obama?
But that is not an incomplete grade. An incomplete comes at the end of the job. You don't get to try the whole thing again you have to start and re-do the whole thing.
Obama is so far out of his element it is truly scary. What is incomplete? more unemployment, debt, and gov't dependency?
Definitely not out of his element. That is a stretch. With knowledge (a difficult term to use since who can really say that they have in-depth knowledge) of the economic situation beginning in 2008, where should we be now?
With Iraq and Afghanistan, where should we be now? (And, even Ron Paul would not have the troops home in his first two years)

But I agree, incomplete is the answer that should be given by anyone that wants more time on the job.
He explained the NEW Democratic direction.
I liked the old one better.
