2012 MP3 Bit Rate Levels

Hello,
My father just redeemed his bootleg download code to get Amsterdam 1, ordered Amsterdam 2 on CD, and webpage says "Available in MP3(256 kbit/s), FLAC and FLAC HD (24 bit/96KHz). " I wish that were the case. It is a variable bit rate (VBR) ranging from 246 kbit/s to 250 kbit/s. Is this how all the 2012 tour shows are?
I’ve seen Pearl Jam 25 times, Eddie Vedder 9 times, and Brad once.
