Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who’s gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinburg? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago, and you curse the marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Santiago’s death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don’t want the truth because deep down in places you don’t talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post. Either way, I don’t give a damn what you think you are entitled to

everything I have read or seen about it leaves me dumbfounded. There have been 2 interesting UK programmes on it and some of the stories that come out are astounding - fear, learning your darkest secrets to use them against you, demands that no true religion would make of you.. but having said that it must be tempered that the investigations were already looking to show the negative aspects. I am sure a scientology paid programm woudl be much more "soft focus".

    its just not for me....

Diagnetics is a good read if you suspect you have a mental disorder but don't want to get professional help.

Actors and Actresses spend their entire lives, on a stage playing "make-believe".
And when all the fame and fortune goes to their fucking swollen heads...
When they have NO CLUE of what is reality, and what is make-believe...

They turn into something that resembles Tom Cruise...
    A fucking lunatic...

probably a good thing after his most recent failing marriage.
He needs to be with like beliefs for a successful relationship perhaps.

He is a driven person ...

I hope he finds lasting love with a perfect someone.

I don't fault those who follow this religion.

 A religion based on the books of a Science Fiction author?

"After speaking for about an hour at the meeting, Mr. Hubbard answered questions from the audience. He made the following statement in response to a question about making money from writing: `You don't get rich writing science fiction. If you want to get rich, you start a religion.'"

By all means, they can certainly go for it and believe in it.

And I'll still be here making fun of it.

Yes, but, this one is just a little more ridiculous in my eyes.
