Well they've got 3 September shows listed on their site:
    http://www.foofighters.com/au/tour

It also says "We are coming for you too. More shows being added here soon" across the top of the page so I don't think there's too much to worry about!

Eddie said the same thing at the end of the Euro Tour a couple years ago, and all he meant was they need a break from touring. I'm assuming Dave meant the same thing and that the site is trying to blow it a little out of proportion to attract more web traffic.

I love reading grungereport, but lately it's been too much of a tabloid.

When hasn't it been that? Very big headlines with very little substance in the articles.

True, but cut the guy some slack, it's either that or no updates at all which could see traffic dwindle when there are some genuinely decent things to report on.

Maybe, but when it's real news there are better places to get it. There's a reason nobody else is reporting it's the Foos last show for a long time, and it only took a few replies here for a more accurate account.

I dunno, I think he casts the net pretty wide, nothing much escapes him, and he does cover a pretty specific genre that other sites don't always include. Where would you say is a better place to get info?

Seems as if he is referring to Europe/UK shows.

There was a 3-year gap between proper London shows from 2008-2011, so it doesn't seem like anything out of the ordinary.

There are 4 announced shows remaining this year.

here....the reason he covers stuff that nobody else does is b/c it's usually not news.

When I said stuff I meant bands. NME are running the same headline at the moment....

  • Brett actually widened his net of bands he's covering now, because he admitted that it was tough to get traffic because of slow news days. So basically it became billcorganrantsreport.net.

now he covers the Peppers, Jane's, QOTSA, and a whole host of others.
    Gimli 1993
    Fargo 2003
    Winnipeg 2005
    Winnipeg 2011
    St. Paul 2014
  • it would have been cool if this meant a new TCV record, but with QOTSA releasing a new one in the coming months, I don't see that happening.

What I would give to see Grohl, Homme, and Jones on stage!!

They were amazing, though much quieter than I expected. That album is one of the best in recent memory as well.
