It was about time. The Big Rock version of Garden was cute for a while, but this is the way it was meant to be heard. I was lucky enough to see it in its full glory in Hartford and Mansfield 2.
It is time to admit that we used to rock like hurricanes. It is time to run for the hills and go round and round. It is time for us to shout at the devil. We've got the right to choose it, there ain't no way we'll lose it, and we're not gonna take it anymore.

I actually like the 2006 version better. Not sure why, just seems more powerful.

I love the traditional version, it's sexy... I thought the reworked version was ok, but kind of a cop out.

I thought the new version was awesome in '06, but the 2 performances I saw in Hartford and Mansfield this year blew it away. They played it AMAZINGLY this tour. Mikey is an absolute BEAST!

Original Garden is the best! I'd be down with this becoming somewhat of a staple with long guitar solos a la Black.

The tradiitional version is 1000000000000000000000000000000 times better, but I never did get to hear the 06 version. I was blown away when they played it old school style at the Garden pure awesomeness.....can't wait for the boots

I like the new version a lot ... I agree, its a tad Soundgarden-esque. Not disappointed that the old style is back, though.

I liked the new version as a change of pace ... but, holy hell, hearing the traditional version at MSG ... my god. that was something else.

    Mansfield II version was moving.

Of course I'm an idiot and didn't figure out what song was coming when Ed said "We dedicate this to a place in Boston we used to play a lot"

  • the song ACHES for the original guitar tone it was first played and recorded with.

i wish there were a way to use the original guitar tone on the songs from the first 2 albums. the current guitar tone makes some songs (like SOLAT) sound clunky

    truth

Well just got my MSG II boot and hearing the garden at the garden while commuting on the Garden State Parkway to work (Swear to G-d) is the perfect trifecta.

I like to new version off the Gorge Boots, but not nearly as much as the original version.

I really liked the way they played in 2000.
They really slowed it down a lot.
They only played a handful of times that way.
    Tampa 2000 was really good.
