The Human Power Dance of Time has been a gory one.

Sex drugs and rock-n-roll was coined in the 70’s so says Wikipedia. Though immediate gratification has likely captivated us since our dawning, history fully attests to just how high Human Purpose rates on the scale of what else captivates us. Rock-n-roll picked up on this and has turned the blending of captivating topics into an art form. In a song keyed in on the future, Pearl Jam asks; so—whatcha giving? Well, I’m giving this; a captivating—human interest series.

The above paragraph is the first of many found in http://www.dancingpartners.info

There are 3 entities in The Ageless Power Dance of Time; Gods, Ruling Elites and us — the mass.
Disunited—we are but mere pawns.
WE, are the ones who end up on the front line of every division rulers have ever drawn.
WE, the generations living right now, that must awaken us—the sleeping giant.
Somehow, somewhere, we must gather to do this—together.
Our Story — The Story of Our Times — is being presented at
http://www.dancingpartners.info
Please join this somehow, somewhere start. It's a reading club.
You will never be asked for a dime, but you will be asked for some undivided time.
UNITY. It begins — ONE— at a time. So, let’s get started.

I only dance when I'm drunk.
  • well, so much for this bright idea. Tell me, was this post too long for this PJ forum?
  • Uh, also - if anyone ever reads this; what's a sticky?
  • what you are trying to do?
    i'm confused.
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

what you are trying to do?
    i'm confused.

I think she wants you to get into the groove, get up on your feet, and step to the beat...or something.

Go on Drifting, get your dancing shoes on and make us all proud! ;)

This, from two of the brighter lights on the boards. Nice first impression, you two!

  • It's looking like a tough crowd but thanks for smoothin' the road a bit. So yeah, I guess I do want someone to step to the beat with me dammit.
  • and still, why I have a few chatting, what's a sticky?
And Brianlux, you keep giving me great advice in nano-seconds. Do you already have pre-made anti-blow softeners ready to go for wayward optimists?

as topics stop getting responses, they slide away into obscurity further away from page 1. Mods deem a topic to be more important than the rest by making it "stick" to the first page so it never goes away. "sticky status" is usually reserved for band/tour/release announcements and such, though.

  • To: hedonist, hugh freaking Dillon and brianlux; since I don't yet know how to nagivate ( I'm thinking of the replies found within each post) I'll just do this for now. Okay - I'll look into the technical section but the jest of it offered does help. Thanks. And to Brian; thanks for the reminder but I'm not sure if I'll ever grow thick skin. Makes me constantly wonder how it is that I ever thought I'd be able to go thru the dissiminating of this series. And yes, I am seeing -- PJ enthusiasts arent nessesarily activists at heart.

It's Stones fault! Somewhere toward the beginning of the PJ 20 film Stone say something like, "That's when I discovered sarcasm!" He says it with this little glint in his eyes and a devilish little laugh. I think it's a gen x thing (I can say that because boomers are just as full of shit  ) and even though I try not to do it, sometimes I can't help myself. But I blame it on Drifting and Byrnzie and DS and PoD and 81 and BinauralJam and Hedonist and ... and...oww! Hey, stop throwing shit at me, you guys! Hey!! Owww!!!

  • Well, I've been amused anyway. But, you've scair't me off. Before I go though I'd like to apologize for so brashly inviting myself to your party and you have rightly put me in my spot. In my defense though, if that's allowed, I guess when I was looking for a core group to help me get dancing partners off and running, I became overly enthusiastic when I saw 'A moving Train' forum. Even more excited when I read 'Threat wars' and saw the potential of how fun it would be to have this group be that core. So I'll keep movin' on as I know somewhere - there's a train out there that moves. And yes, I've learned a few things while visiting here so alls not lost but I've thought about it, about practicing patience to gain admittance by the lords of wit, but this hypocrite has committed myself for the next ten weeks and I know frustration will end up being my reward for brash impatience if I stay. Hopefully, I won't make this same mistake again. Thanks for the lesson.

oops...almost forgot; whatever happens now, is not some glorious accident.
Might not be a PJ one - but I'm chancing it just the same.

Well, dancepartner, I'll throw this out selfish as it may seem- a fresh perspective is welcome here to some of us. I hope you'll reconsider. Oh, and if you quit and decide to come back you can always point the finger at me as a worse example because, as I'm sure some of the others will tell you, I've done that often enough!

This isn't said with malice, but what exactly were you looking for from your initial post? What were you specifically looking for us to do? If you've read the forums here and there (I assume you have), you know that not every thread or post gets a response.

Not everyone is on the same page (thank god).

    Not everyone is into dancing.

    Good luck with your endeavor.
  • ah ha! I see the problem -- I think. Maybe I wasn't clear from the onset? I've been reading in the ice melt forum. Great stuff being shared. And when I barged right in here a week or so ago, threw out my "check this out" I'd envisioned a respectful forum to ensue -- similar to the ice melt one.
Yes, I do understand not everyone's into dancing but the website I'd ask if anyone would check out isn't about ballroom protocol but rather; the ageless dance we all know -- the one we all do.
Yes, I did read a variety of forums before posting mine and had I remembered these included some engaging dialogue, then maybe I wouldn't have found disillusionment so easily. But of all the ones I read, I felt the most important one was 'Thread Wars' simply because it reaffirmed the necessity to do more than just vent, something I don't want to do anymore, and I thought I'd found a home.
http://www.dancingpartners.info is like a spark that needs a strong breeze. I'm not asking for anyone to hit the streets in war paint regalia. And though discussing Ice melts, the most recent shooting, Obama versus Romney or the endless list of societal defugilties are all sparks, how things go down on our watch depends on whether we simply vent, or choose to become a strong breeze. That's not being hypocritical...at least for a communal animal.
One thing is for sure: reading Ice melt's dialogue reminded me that Brianlux is right: there's some very bright minds that hang out here on this train. Guess it's just a matter of rethinking what kind of train it is and I'm well-aware its not for me to tell you, but a revamp in which adjective more aptly describes this train is worth consideration.

The one day that comes once every four years when ruling elites actually care what we have to say has now come and gone. Since we already know Obama doesn't have an invincible cape, do wait 4 more years to elect another ruling elite and hope he will?
