it sounds good but I don't think there is a cure.. I'm not a doctor so that's just an opinion. I'm surprised fox news are reporting science and medicine research.. who would have thought?

The part of the article about the boy with CP was just amazing.

I sure hope this could be extended to other diseases/disorders such as Parkinson's, ALS, etc.

This is great yet I think that it is also important to remember that it is speculated that a mild form of Autism known as Asperger's Syndrome exists among some of our most creative and intelligent minds. The brilliant Temple Grandin has written about this. Here's one of many lists of people known or suspected to have Asperger's:

I'm not saying we shouldn't work to cure autism but I'm equally interested in seeing more work done to help people with mild forms of autism reach their full potential. Grandin has gone on to assert that some of these people could be very useful in helping us deal with several major problems that face the world in which we live. She herself, as most of you may know, has autism, has her doctorate, has written several excellent books and done much to help autists and make life much better for farm animals.

Oh yes, bases on Oliver Sacks work. A little different but yeah, pretty amazing.

This would be amazing! A factor that could be linked to the rise in autism rates over the past few decades is our industrial food supply :( Maybe we should reexamine the so called food that is sold at the grocery stores - studies have shown that autistic children respond well to a change in their diet specifically the elimination of all processed foods and wheat and dairy products.

Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?

Seems my preconceptions are what should have been burned...

well...news is news after it's diced and sliced by all the media out lets in the core of it all there is usally some truth to the stories...not always  but in this case the hope for a cure is there, having had a nephew with down syndrom any step forward is a great thing.

I can only hope this is the real deal, and it will work on young adults also.
