I am glad Hank III has carved out his own career without resting on laurels like his dad!

I can't help but wonder- if Hank I had been an unknown would we even know about Hank III or Hank II for that matter?

I doubt it.....Hank II is a carbon copy of his dad. III, at least, has taken his own musical path.

hank is just seeking attention as he fades further and deeper into irrelevance. he saw the attention that nugent got by catering to the fringe right and tea party and how it rejuvenated nugent's "career" for 2 weeks, so he is trying the same thing. he is a worn out, burnt out shell of a man who has not written a recognizable "hit" song in over 2 decades. it must hurt him to know that most people under age 20 have no idea who he is. he has no sizable audience left, so he plays the county fair circuit where he will find the simple minded good ol' boys that were once his audience so he can kowtow to them and tell them what they want to hear, like obama is a muslim. the tea party caters to them, so hank does too.

hank is not his dad, and he will never be as good as his dad, and out of that he has turned to alcohol and drugs to numb the pain of being an aging, irrelevant country star... and he has taken up the politics of the attention whores like nugent, dennis miller, dave mustaine, bo derek, and pat boone.

there is nothing more pathetic in this world than the aging, fading, quasi-celebrity...

If I had a dollar for everytime someone mentioned Dave Mustaine, Bo Derek and Pat Boone in the same sentence, I'd have one dollar!
