When you're in the hospital...let the nurses take your baby as often as they offer to - even overnight. Take advantage of them while you can because once you get home it's all you and your wife!

  • Yes, honey... Yes... Yes, I'll do whatever you need...

Try not to get frustrated at her or yourself and especially not the baby... But you will and they will get frustrated with you. In 6 weeks you will wonder what the hell you have done, then in 6 months you will see more signs of life other than bows and screams and the next thing you know...crawling, walking, talking, he/she learned that one from you :D:) :P  :?: :?: :?:

The fun begins...Enjoy it, it's the best thing that will ever happen to you it just takes a little time to realize it!

get some sleep as you will never sleep well again. tell your wife to make sure when she is pushing to use her stomach muscles and not hold her breath and push as she could burst blood vessels in her eyes. other than that enjoy every minute.

Congrats! Gotta agree with the sleep. I don't have kids yet, but my sister has 3 year old twins and I think she's slept about a total of 6 hours since they were born

If family /friends offer ANY kind of help,TAKE it.......there will be no harm to anyone and everyone will be happier in the end..
And on that note it's VERY inportant to maintain your "coupleness" still....
The baby won't remember that you went on a date night at 3 weeks old,and baby will be just fine in Grandmas etc good care....
    Congrats to you & yours....
I've got teens!! You've got that to look forward to now :lol:

    I love this.

And fuck me, but rules are overwhelming! Too many.

How about...just be a decent person and try to teach it by example.

And love your kid. They're not an accessory so just do right by them.

Yes the ten commandment are a must to survive, and so is soccer training or singing lessons for future welfare ;)
