here's what happened season 2 -

it's simple

get in the league

make 6 nfl picks against the spread each week

maybe win money

check out the rules from last year

entry fee and payout is determined by how many people gets in pool

to sum up this pool

# of people who get in x $40 entry fee ( honor system- to be paid at end of season)

$40 bet works out to be a $2.35 bet each week of the 17 week season

say we get 10 players / 10 x $40 = $400

from the $40 entry fee, $17 ( $1 per week/ per player) goes into a weekly pool for anyone who goes 6 for 6 on picks, if we get 10 players, the weekly pool gets $10 each week and carries over to the next week if no one goes 6 for 6, this pool accounts for $170 of the $400 in total pot

the remaining $230 goes to overall winner ( most correct picks) at end of season

i post every game line during the week from covers.com and add a half point to each if necessary to prevent ties

you pick the 6 lines that you like and sit back and maybe win cash

it's a fun pool and even if you suck in the overall standings throughout season, you can still hit the 6 for 6 pool any week which could be anywhere from $10 to $170

if you want this game as one of your 6 picks, pm me your selection before kickoff

if you don't want that line, do nothing

the sunday and monday lines will then be posted on friday sept 7

get your 6 picks in before kickoff 1pm

any mid-week games lines throughout the season will be posted the morning before the game and picks for these games must be pm'ed to me before the kickoff of the mid-week game

all sunday and monday lines will be posted friday mornings


we have had issues in the past where someone will miss the 1pm sunday deadline to get 6 picks in

i believe we allowed said played to make 4pm picks with monday's picks if they were pm'ed before the 4pm kickoffs

i am cool with this, but it can't happen more than twice, and it can't happen in weeks 14-17

late in the season, i guess someone could purposely miss the 1pm games, see the selections of others that are close in # of wins for the season at 1pm when i post them on thread, and risk making only 4pm and monday picks based on selections of others

so this should not even happen throughout the season if you get me picks by 1pm sunday's

Woo-hoo, cant wait. Going up to the USC Syracuse game @ MetLife next Saturday (50 yd line, 24th row, behind the Trojan bench!) and then hitting the bar to watch as many minutes of action all day Sunday as we can. [Flying my brother in to take part in the weekend with me.]

It would be tough to be more excited than I am about next weekend! (Maybe instead of seeing PJ this Sunday I could be seeing them next Friday -- that would be an epic weekend!)

i try to make my picks asap and each week i will pm my picks to a different player

this is so no one thinks i gain any advantage by seeing everyones picks, and then make mine based on that

also

the lines posted here will be the lines at the time i get them off of covers.com

even if the line changes on covers.com after i post it here, the line posted here will not change
