Seems like many of them killed their spouses and their children, like Susan Smith. A lot of these crimes seemed more personal and less random in nature. Interesting stuff.

  • The story of Aileen Wuornos is a depressing tale.

It at least appears that if a woman has turned murderous... some male has helped shift her mentality. In almost every case I have read, the murderous women had histories of abuse in one form or another at the hands of their gender counterparts.

Men are the root of all evil. Maybe instead of gun restrictions we should have men restrictions? We get let off our chains to breed and perform labour. Chains go back on at night. Maybe get golf games for strong performances in either category.

    Just a thought.

for the past 30 odd yars ive been reading about serial killers and i find women who kill, the most fascinating killer of all.i also find her the most shocking. afterall i was brought up my entire life thanks to the media and social conditioning to think women were nurturing, could be trusted and were more approachable than men. though there were those times when i wouldve happily thrown my screaming baby out the window it would never have occurred to me to murder them in their sleep or to make them so ill as to draw attention. to think that a woman would kill another woman... its like breaking the chick code, you know? sure kill men theyre bastards... as we all know ;) but kill another woman???? wtf?! and to kill children???? that is the most fascinating thing of all. when we hear of this happening we think why why didnt she just give them to someone safe? couldnt she have just killed herself? and while i want so much to understand any mind that kills the killer that aggravates me most is the grieving parent who gets in front of the camera and pleas for the life of their missing child who they already know is dead and stuffed in a box somewhere. you are a waste of everybodys time.

If I read the last few lines correctly... they were incredibly insensitive. Kind of came from left field. I was following along and, for the most part, agreeing. Then those comments. I had to re-read the post. I must be missing something?

I think she's referring to people who have killed their own children but claim they are missing or that someone else killed them, like Susan Smith.

Thanks for helping me with this. Makes sense (and glad it does!).

    you read them incorrectly.

recently, and not for the first time, weve had to witness a grieving parent plea for the return of their abducted child. they look dishevelled, a wad of tissue screwed up in their hand, big sunglasses over their eyes, and being supported by an equally grieving relative. they break down asking for information or for the abductor to just return their child. they even address the missing child all the while knowing the child whose release theyre pleading for is already dead cause theyve killed them. this is the killer i have zero time for.

    Jesus.

    That poor little boy.

I wonder, on her earlier charges, how could they be dismissed when she herself confessed to being so fucked up she had no idea where she'd left her baby? Witness or no witness, it makes no sense.

It's horrible. They had grief counselors available for the neighborhood for the past 2 days because it's just so hard to deal with. I had heard that a neighbor called the police regarding a domestic dispute. When she initially called 911 she tried to blame the murder on her boyfriend. I'm not sure if he is the boy's father. It almost sounds like she was trying to get back at him - killing the child and then blaming him for it. I don't know how anyone could do this to anyone, let alone their own child.
