Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone knows (or knows where to find) the attendance for the Nijmegen concert this year?

I searched the forums, and I know there were a couple of figures floating around at the actual concert, security were telling us different numbers. But I wondered if anyone knows the correct amount?

Thanks

Naomi

the last figure I heard was roughly 36,000 feels quite accurate.
    Everyday................is Pearl Jam Day.

    Except Sundays, that's Ed day.

According to Mojo Concerts 35,000 tickets where released, I would think it was sold out, so my guess was quite close... ; )

I think 35,000 was for Arnhem 2006. Nijmegen had 60,000 to 65,000 (?) I remember someone saying that 40 to 45,000 were sold. Don't know if that was estimated or for real.

When I checked out of the hotel the day after, I asked the receptionist about it and she told me there were somewhere between 65 and 70,000 people there. She based that on the Rolling Stones concert that drew 55,000 people some weeks earlier. Pearl Jam drew more than that! Pretty cool.

Anyway, the park was HUGE and it was packed! I saw Metallica in Norway two weeks later playing for 40,000 people and I could clearly see that there were less people there than for pj in Nijmegen.

I think somewhere between 55 and 70,000 people were there. There were definatly more than 35,000 there!

Biggest show I have ever been to.

I never thought it was that much, i'm surprised! I remember looking around after the gig when we walked to the back of the field and i thought it would fit maybe 45,000-50,000 people.

It would be great if we could find out for sure. It makes me wonder, because I saw REM at Manchester Cricket Ground in 2005 and there were 50,000 people there but in Nijmegen it felt and looked like a lot more!

I've been researching this a bit and Bon Jovi have their show here listed as a 39,815 sell out. I also emailed the promoters, Mojo concerts and they're being cagey about who they release info too so not sure we'll ever get an exact figure. Though if the post above is true and the promoter confirmed 35,000 tickets we're released then this is very reliable, but they're not sure if that was for the Arnhem show.
