A bit of a lunchtime chuckle (well... lunchtime for me)!

This could only be Chinese - they are the masters of rip-offs **she says looking at the 'Jimmy Choo' shoes in the wardrobe...**

There is an interesting documentary where the creator of Everyone Loves Raymond goes to Russia to help advise on creating the Russian franchise version.

It's pretty funny because Russian TV culture is used to super-fit and glitzy actors in the sitcoms and they could not wrap their heads around making the Raymond characters plain and ordinary.

The doc is called Exporting Raymond.

I watched part of this - interesting indeed. I think it's still on HBO's on-demand.

And...is Joan Rivers even Joan Rivers anymore? She's morphed into some weird, spongey, plastic-y version of her prior weird, spongey, plastic-y self.

(Godfather, you crack me up  )

To tell you the truth, I never thought of "Friends" or any sit-com to be representative of our culture- unless you mean what Edward Abbey used to refer to as "Kulture"

The only thing can I think of that is truly American culture is jazz and blues. So far, I haven't seen China or anyone else improve on these!
