Need feedback on my first single

Hey everyone - I would love some honest opinions on my first single called "Cut to the Bone". I was a music teacher and got laid off last year. I have been pursuing music ever since. I need to know if this is something I should continue. I feel like it is good and so do my friends but I need the opinions of people who don't know me.

    I think this song is well done. :thumbup:

    Not knowing your situation in terms of opportunities and plans for the future, I'd say, don't close the door to working as a teacher while you are pursuing this.

    You and your family still need to eat even as you chase your dream. :)

    Thanks for the feedback justam! Eating is good. I actually got called back last year to my district and taught all last year. The whole situation just sparked my wanting to at least pursue the music thing. I've had the summer to work on recording and getting my website up. WI is a tense place to be a teacher right now and it is hard to say what will happen in the future. Being laid off made me realize I should at least pursue my dream. However, it does take a lot of time and energy as I am already working. Ideally I'd like to go on tour next summer and see what type of feedback I get. In the meantime I am trying to build my following. Please let other people know about the site and the song if you like it!
