Fried Green Tomatoes...

    I always wanted to try that, but somehow never got the right tomatoes for doing it. Enjoy, I guess they are delicious :D

    But how do you prepare the fried pickles? Are you dipping them in some kind of (beer) dough and then deep-fry them? Same as the tomatoes? And what kind of pickles? Those small cucumbers or also peppers, cauliflower etc.?

    I tried them ate a pub...

    Looks like they just sliced up a large sour dill pickle...
    Dipped it in a beer batter...
    Deep fried them for a minute or two...
    Served them with a ranch dip, and a dill dip...
    Pretty damned simple I would think...

    I will order those ever single time I have a chance....

    Fried pickles would be Zoso's worst nightmare :shock: He despises pickles. Poor little guys always get exiled from his plate :(

    Dude - you are going to Brooklyn - you MUST buy pickles at Clinton Hill pickles - it is the most unassuming shop but they are fermented pickles, old school, and the are the best! My daughter lives within walking distance of the shop and I get some whenever I visit her. They are very reasonably priced at $6 a quart, and yes the shop has pickled green tomatoes, also.
