I'm not sure about Means. A Soiux woman I spoke with told a while back told me, "On the Rez, we just laugh when people mention Russell Means"." But that's hearsay. A local guy I run into in the store from time to time who is Navajo and works with the local Maidu and Miwok turned me on to a few good writers that led to reading Louise Erdrich, Sherman Alexi, Vine Deloria, James Welch, Linda Hogan, Adrian C. Louis, Joseph M. Marshall, Ohiyesa (Charles Eastman) and Simon Ortiz- all of whom are great American Indian writers. All of these people are amazing to read and I'd vote for any of them (the living ones that is) if they ran for president. Not joking either.

Gotta admit, man, Russell looks pretty good for a guy that's been around as long as he has. Sounds good to. OK- looks like none of those I mentioned above are running- I might have to strongly consider Means after all- but only if it looks like Super Underwear Man really dose have a shot at it.

  • Just watched several portions and related content.

I can't even get my head around it. I constantly hear of tough talking US citizens speak to rights and freedoms... well where are their voices for something such as this?

seems ppl wanna get involved with tragedy far from home. i know a church going gal who sends $$$ every single month to a family in cuba. this is great but is she helping out in her own community, state or country? i haven't the answers. but i do know the first nations people got screwed over.

now they have casinos, i hope they are making a fucking killing on those gambling reservations
