Going to see Ed around Texas (from Manchester)

Well. Having seen PJ at both the shows in Manchester at the MEN we where really looking forward to seeing Ed play solo at the Apollo. What can I say but we were absolutely blown away!!

As a result the following morning my wife and I frantically snapped up tickets for Ed's Solo tour starting in Austin and ending in San Antonio.

We thought this only fair as Ed mentioned that he had spent so much time in (a very rainy) Manchester in the past few weeks and we know what a depressing place can be when it's wet !!

We've always wanted to drive around Texas and see the likes of Dallas, Austin (great music scene I hear) San Antonio and all the bits in between. Now we have the perfect excuse to finally do it!! So Thank you Eddie for giving us a goal 8-) 8-)

So if any of you are at any of these shows and hear 2 people with Manchester accents (possibly wearing a Stick it to MS - 800 drummers - Manchester T-shirt) Please say hello

Just thought of this...I also know of a pre-show party before the San Antonio show. If you are on Facebook...look up Texas PJ fans and you can find out info for pre-show parties for the other shows that are part of your Texas adventure. 8-)

That would be fantastic!! I've had a quick look on Facebook for Texas PJ Fans but did not find anything. I'll keep looking and I'll also PM you as it would be great to meet up with a few of the locals and have a beer or 3

We'll be driving down from Dallas as we'll have been to the show the night before so hopefully we should arrive in time for a drink. I have studied the maps and google earth and street view etc :ugeek: so should have no excuses for getting lost.

Can't wait!!

you're doing what I'd love to do as well. looked up the shows today and found some really good seats, but I don't think it's financially feasible for me after PJ and EV in europe.

I'll be insanely jealous. Have a blast, I'm sure it's going to be very worth travelling for.

I'm hitting the same shows up as well.. Flying into Austin, spend the wknd there with friends and catch the Austin shows and then head out on my own for the Houston, Dallas and San Antonio shows.. I'm sure we'll cross paths, going to be a great 8 days....Austin is a great city, you both will enjoy it..
