I have a sliding glass door in my bedroom that opens onto the backyard deck. I was putting some stuff away when I looked up to see a black bear on the deck looking in at me. Holy crap! Slowly it turned around and started to make it's way off the deck. I ran to the back door in time to see it peering in at me. A couple of seconds later it took off. Whoa. Close call.

    I know...I almost took his picture, but I was afraid the flash might set him off. I did not want him to bust through the glass and go all Sean Penn on me.
