Beautiful Lifetime

Thirty minutes ago, I was just bicycling accompanied by my mp3 & my headphones over a hill of my mountainous hometown. Suddenly, I saw a beautiful white cat at the side of the road and then I looked up and saw the half moon having come out from pink clouds. All this happened while I was passing near an ice-cream factory. You can imagine the smell. Soundtrack of the moment: Crazy Mary (Montreal 07/09/11) & Fuckin' Up (Calgary 21/09/11). Thank God for this beautiful moment during a summer night. Makes you think that it's really great to be alive.

It IS great, isn't it?
And not just that it is, but to recognize and appreciate it as such.
Keep stopping to smell those roses!0 -
OK, another one here: I was traveling by bus from Athens to Serres two days ago. During sundown, I saw the remaining smoke of a safely burnt field coming up and smelt its strangely beautiful scent. Then, I turned my head up just to see some clouds in an eagle opening its wings configuration. At the place of its head, guess what? Half sundown!
Soundtrack of the moment: Tom Waits' Talking At The Same Time. Beautiful and memorable.

Last night I went out for a beer and run into a free teenage concert which was taking place in the middle of a main street. I only caught the last three songs: Alice In Chains - Nutshell / Pearl Jam - Black / Nirvana - Where Did You Sleep Last Night? It must have been a good show overall.Athens 2006 / Milton Keynes 2014 / London 1&2 2022 / Seattle 1&2 2024 / Dublin 2024 / Manchester 2024 / New Orleans 20250

I was walking down a hill exactly an hour ago, listening to RNDM's Cherries in the Snow and watching a bright yellow half moon on a dark blue cloudless winter sky perfectly aligned to me. Listening to Sirens during an English autumn sunset while watching an airport tower with a thingy rotating on its top (like the Sirens' artwork).
Listening to Be Like Wind and the PJ20 acoustic version of GTF while watching the white line of a plane in the distance and another one taking off just over my head.
Listening to Moonlander (in its entirety) during this autumn sundown.Athens 2006 / Milton Keynes 2014 / London 1&2 2022 / Seattle 1&2 2024 / Dublin 2024 / Manchester 2024 / New Orleans 20250 -
During the "Held you high above... True..." part of Sirens at the MK concert, I saw a young man holding / lifting his girlfriend up in the air grabbing her from the waist much to her surprise. If you could see that smile on her / their face... Just amazing... Well done young man!Athens 2006 / Milton Keynes 2014 / London 1&2 2022 / Seattle 1&2 2024 / Dublin 2024 / Manchester 2024 / New Orleans 20250

Bicycling down a hill in a sunny Greek island and just before starting to speed up Fast Enough by GULL popped up on my MP3 player. That put a smile on my face! Attending a video art event in Syros, where they were projecting colourful "psychedelic" clocks on an old clock tower. That specific video was entitled Hippie-Hippie Matala and as background music they chose to play Watching Rainbows by The Beatles. Perfect choice! :-bdAthens 2006 / Milton Keynes 2014 / London 1&2 2022 / Seattle 1&2 2024 / Dublin 2024 / Manchester 2024 / New Orleans 20250

While at a Public Service Broadcasting gig, before the song "Go!" starts J. Wilgoose Esq (guitar, banjo and synthesizers) played us a prerecorded message saying: "If you know the lyrics, please sing along". Funny thing is, for those of you who don't know PSB, they only use samples from old public information films, archive footage and propaganda material. No lyrics at all. In the case of the aforementioned song, they use samples of the communication between the Kennedy Space Center and the astronauts of Apollo 11 (Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin). In addition, the only things from this song that one could memorize - and therefore sing along to - are the orders "Go!" and "Stay!". So, a 50+ yo man standing next to me starting repeating the orders during the entire song. I joined him immediately after the first "Go!". Then something magic happened: We turned our heads at the same time looking at each other with big smiles on our faces. Something like the sweet feeling of reaffirmation. You know, something like "That's it mate"! We're together in this.Athens 2006 / Milton Keynes 2014 / London 1&2 2022 / Seattle 1&2 2024 / Dublin 2024 / Manchester 2024 / New Orleans 20250

A couple of days ago, while I was about to start Chapter 3 (I'M THE FIRST MAMMAL TO WEAR PANTS) of Joe Pearson's Pearl Jam: Art of Do the Evolution, Do the Evolution from the Philly 29/04/16 show was playing on my MP3 player and the line "I'm the first mammal to wear pants..." was perfectly synchronised with my turning from the last page of Chapter 2 to the first page of Chapter 3. You can imagine that put a big smile on my face!
