Its odd how underrated she is. She's a top tier actress, but in any top actresses list I dont think most people would think of her.

I saw La Vie En Rose about 4 or 5 months ago, and it was one of the most incredible things ive ever seen. One of the best portrayals of old age ive ever witnessed, and that scene near the end where she's going around and around in a hallway is intense as hell.

I dont think any of her performances since then have rivaled that one, but still just with that one movie, she's incredible.

I was just talking about her the other day when I was watching Contagion. It's not a brilliant film, but she makes you pause any time she's on screen.
