All aboard for this year’s “Railroad Revival Tour,” rolling out of the station in mid-October with Willie Nelson and his family plus Band Of Horses, Jamey Johnson and John Reilly and friends.
Steeped in America’s railroad lore, the tour launches in Duluth, Ga., at the Southeastern Railway Museum. Consisting of 16-vintage 1940s railcars, the train then heads westward toward its final destination in Oakland, Calif. Stops along the way include Memphis, Oklahoma City and Tempe, Ariz.
Here’s the schedule:
Oct. 20 – Duluth, Ga., Southeastern Railway Museum
Oct. 22 – Memphis, Tenn., Memphis Central Train Station
Oct. 23 – Oklahoma City, Okla., Downtown Air Park
Oct. 24 – Spring, Texas, Old Town Spring
Oct. 26 – Tempe, Ariz., Downtown
Oct. 27 – San Pedro, Calif., Ports O’ Call
Oct. 28 – Oakland, Calif., Middle Harbor Shoreline Park
What can you expect? Sure, you get individual performances by Willie, Johnson and Reilly, but also expect spur-of-the-moment collaborations and unique moments that will provide you with plenty of memories to treasure.
