This is one odd step farther than the building of artificial organs around cosmetic\non-living frames.

If I understand this correctly, these "things" are living tissue (built from rat heart muscle cells) assembled in some sort of jellyfish like pattern that is then encased in silicone?

So it is a "living" [(some of)the base matter is truly alive] structure that itself is not "alive"? ie. it does not feed or reproduce. I wonder on what the heart muscle cells themselves "feed" and\or for how long they live?

    Super weird\intriguing.
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

after reading it I was a little curious my self,we have already heard about cloning and organ/tissue reproduction now this just seems a step closer to artifical inteligent life forms if we add it all together.....creepy.
