Or why the medal ribbons are purple? Argh! And I'm sick of Bob Costas and Ryan Seacrest. How about more Apolo Ohno and John McEnroe. And why are the sending Mary Carillo off to report on her excursions? How about having her talk to the athletes because that's what some of us actually care about and not the history of GMT? ARRGHHH!

    Okay. I think I feel better now.

    The womens 4x400 and mens 4x100 was kind of amazing to watch. Too bad about the women's voleyball, but I still think I'm in love with Logan Tom :D
    Wait. Ryan Seacrest is hosting the Olympics for NBC?!?! :fp: :lol: That's insane!! Why wouldn't they choose someone who, you know, has somethingto do with sports?? :lol: Thank god Canada's CTV only has qualified Olympic hosts and annoncers, as in popular SPORTS broadcasters and actual ex Olympic athletes. That is weird. Wtf NBC? I actually used to switch back and forth between Canadian networks and NBC quite a bit, but I gave that up some time ago because they did start acting just like you say - a strange overbearing focus only on Americans, almost as though they were the only ones competing. Sounds like I made a good decision in giving them up!

    I do hope that people get as excited about the Paralympic Games!!

    my mate won tickets to the athletics from sainsburys lol ill be watching it as well but wot about the weather its been great the day the olympics started the sun came out and its been lovely even today its going to be nice AND THEN TOMORROW ITS GOING TO START RAINING AGAIN :lol::lol::lol: good old british weather ah :D
