My mom and sis were able to clean out some of my father's things...it's been almost 3 years since he passed... and they found 2 Mookie Blaylock basketball cards. (like baseball cards) INSANE!!! I wonder if I could sell one of them to add some funds to my trip to Seattle? Is there a high demand? Has anyone ever heard of this?

THANKS!!! :D

Autographed ones go for about $20.

And, I'm actually shocked they go for that much.

So, the answer to your question is NO

As a card collector (mostly baseball), I can tell you that I too am shocked that they'd sell for even $20. Most sports cards post-1980 are virtually worthless because the sheer volume of cards being produced went through the roof.

Sorry dude...they might not help you with funds for your trip to Seattle, but you could frame them up with a Mookie show poster or something (even a reprint), somehow include a quote from "Release" as a nice tribute to your dad and your love of PJ!

$0.84 for a 2 pack of unsigned Mookie cards.

Google is your friend. Again, amazed they go for that much.

I've been holding on to it. Never thought about selling it until just this moment; I actually first thought about giving it as a gift to someone.

They are certainly not worthless to an impassioned Pearl Jam fan!!! :) What a wonderful idea framing them then I could see both sides and with the poster it would be a nice size...good idea about the lyrics!

Sure!!! If I were you, I'd delete this thread and post on Lost Dogs. It's like the NY Lottery commercial - Hey! You never know!
