Passing thoughts

The days passed, one-two-another,
years have passed
so many conversations unfinished…
a woman throwing notes down a hole
a human singing songs into the wind
a person tapping code out into infinite space
hoping to communicate!
wanting to share, converse, traverse some distant ground
all these days gone now
all these thoughts
and we could have been closer!
(that's the sad part)
it feels like squandered time now
for,
we could have talked more,
but we didn't!
