It's been 11 years since No Doubt has released an album. Push and Shove is meant to be out in September.
The new single was released today:

As a long-time, super duper No Doubt fan, I hate the new single. Hate it. Just my opinion. They're capable of so much more.

IMHO you can clearly hear Gwen, she stands out more than ever. Not in anyway saying the band has faded, just that Gwen has a very strong presence.
It's a long song! I had enough time to like it, then not like it, then like it again. It's definitely not their best. It is almost like they made a dance hall song and a pop song then patched them together. You can almost hear the breaks in the music.
Looking forward to hearing the entire album.

Only saw this band once. I saw them open for Bush on their sixteen stone tour. Goo Goo dolls were also on the bill.
They still write some catchy tunes here and there, looking forward to the rest of the album.

Anybody remember suburban rhythm? That band was the shit! They played some shows with them before they got huge!
It doesn't suck as badly as some of Gwen's solo stuff, but it's definitely not their best work.

It's grown on me, but I still don't love it. :(

Edit: omg! No Doubt's bassist says it's their equivalent of "Bohemian Rhapsody." That's so disrespectful to Queen.

No Doubt has taken down their music video for the single "Looking Hot."
Released Friday, the video is cowboys-and-Indians themed and the stereotypical images including headdresses, tepees, and smoke signals. They got negative feedback from the Native American community once the video was posted on YouTube.
"As a multi-racial band our foundation is built upon both diversity and consideration for other cultures," No Doubt said in a statement on their website. "Our intention with our new video was never to offend, hurt or trivialize Native American people, their culture or their history. Although we consulted with Native American friends and Native American studies experts at the University of California, we realize now that we have offended people."
"Looking Hot" is the second single off the band's upcoming album, "Push and Shove." It's the band's first album since 2001's "Rock Steady."
