Seem to be reading a lot that says this was too "neat" or too much of a "happy ending". Happy ending?? Walt is dead. Hank is dead. He destroyed his family. Sure, Jesse got away, but he's a complete mess.

I liked it a lot overall and am very happy about the ending, but a lot of this is true. I'd also say the finale didn't necessarily follow how the rest of the series went. "Neat" is a good way of putting it in a show where every season was anything but "neat". That said, definitely satisfied.

It was as happy as it could be for this show, but I agree with you..it wasn't happy. It was very satisfying to me as a viewer, but still sad. In addition to what you said, poor Skyler and Walt Jr. are also messed up. I thought the scene of Walt watching Jr. was heartbreaking. He knew his son hated him and they would never see each other again.

  • The scene where Jesse finished building the perfect box only to turn to the present where he was still chained was as good as it gets. I was expecting more from the episode but the ending was perfect and after rewatching it again I can appreciate it more the second time around.

the only way it could have been better is if somehow Walt Jr flew a helicoptor to the scene and crashed it into the building jumping out seconds before with a jet pack on and he started blasting nazi's from the air with a machine gun.

that would have blow my mind

    otherwise i was happy.

  • If I had to complain about anything, its that they fell on a tired cliche to find a way for Walt to save Jessie. I really dislike it when a villain has a hero at his mercy, about to kill him, but something stops him from doing so, and the delay allows the hero to get away/save himself/whatever. I felt it was pretty corny that uncle cracker there just hhad to prove to Walt that he and Jesse weren't partners. At least he didn't spell out some kind of evil masterplan to Walt in the meantime
Other than that, a pretty solid conclusion.
  • I really enjoyed the finale. I was glad to see Jesse finish off Todd!

    Wasn't happy about:
    1) Walt Dying, would have loved if he got away.

    2) The Money, there's like 70 Million still out there, now who gets it , evidence room and then the State?

    3) Jessie lives, ya, Screw that Punk, now your broke and useless (unless he starts cooking again and starts over form scratch)and how much blood's on your hands? You couldn't leave well enough alone when you had 5 millions in 2 huge bags. Freakin Tard!

other than those things, Loved it!
  • the best scenes was jesse screaming happy, walt smile in the end and i loved the talk with skyler, when he said,i did all for me,i enjoy it,like it..something like that..
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
    "..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”

Wouldn't they have just destroyed it after they watched it? What would have been the point in keeping it?

Why does it matter? Marie probably told the DEA about the confession.
    Alright, alright, alright!

They seemed to really enjoy it, doubt they would care if anyone found it considering they had a meth lab 100ft away.

They should have had Jessie find the money and take enough to pay Saul's guy for a new life

Good point. You can't get Saul's guy because you don't have his number. Walt wouldn't even be able to give the number. I loved last night's show but Vince Gilligan says that they left no stone unturned but there are a few questions left unanswered.

did I miss something? Walt buried all those barrels of cash, right? About 80 million or so (if I remember right). He told Jack & the Nazis where they were. They dug them up, took them & left Walt one barrel full....So, theres ANOTHER 70 million out there? Right next to where Hank & his partner are buried? Right next to the holes where the other 80 million was buried?

    confused

Jack's crew took the money. No one knows where it is.

ok, thats what I thought. "Out There", meaning out in the Ether...Just got confused when BinauralJam said "Out there". I was thinking he meant "Out There" in the desert, at those GPS coordinates....sorry, been a lonnng day. proceed.
