For the most of the summer, I've been working longer hours Mon-Thur and pulling 3-day weekends. It's been pretty fantastic, and I have fully enjoyed sitting around on my @ss.

I have a few extra days to kill and might do this for the month of August and then take a 5 day weekend for labor day.

my 5 day labor dayer is already booked...can't waste time that weekend..someone would scoop it up

Just submitted my PTO for August. 4 day Weekend the first week, three the for the next 3 and a 5er for Labor Day.

It is, indeed. Unforuntately, we can only do it between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Actually, that's probably a good thing -- the extra hours I work Mon-Thur only account for about half the time off I get on Friday; I have to use vacation time for other half. If I tried to do this the whole year, I'd run out of vacation time!

most people like to take a week at a time...i'd rather do 2 four day weekends and 1 3 day

so thats how i plan my summer attack ,as many looong weekends as possible (unless im flying somewhere )
although our band doesn't play anymore so i don't have to worry bout that :fp:

i've allready had 3 three day weeknds so far not this week though and next week i also have a full week but then i'm off for a week & still have plenty of PTO time left over for the end of summer ...enjoy the beach you bumm

I still have 22.5 days of vacation and personal holidays that I need to take this year and so far I have one day scheduled.

I've only taken like 4-5 days so far this year. Using 2 for my bachelor party around labor day weekend for a nice 5 day weekend. Then after that using 11 PTO days for my wedding/honeymoon....can't wait, but man has it been brutal having to wait til later in the year to use all my time off.

i'm so weird....i love saving them for the end of the year.....last company, couldn't take vacation in nov-feb because of the business needs. after 8-9 years of that, i love taking the fall/winter vacation.

But that's the end of the summer so iam in NO RUSH f.or that

You're in a different situation with the wedding...you have to Use over 2 weeks for it..hence the long wait

It will be worth it when ur on your honeymoon

Yes you are ...I see no point in taking a long winter vacation...unless you are going away or love skiing

I have never skied and I hate the winter..hence I use most of it in the summer
