Amazing show to end my tour. I was 2nd row Mikes side with friends (old and new) and we rocked the place. The boys did too. Was so happy when they played smile for Pin and her family who was rocking the rail Stones side. She and her 3 kids, and husband did 4 shows this tour to finally end it in their home Norway :) I've never seen her happier after the show. They got the harmonica, a tambourine and a few picks. For me the highlight was It's OK tag, heard it for the 2nd time ever this tour and i cried my eyes out. Loved every minute of the show, but that was amazing. :) Just a few thoughts before I remember anything else.
Oh, and I loved the fact that the cafe we all hung out was right across the street. Great place, great friends. And our hotel was so close, it was like one big meetup before a PJ show. Love the venue, very unusual, wide, but the sound was great IMO.

Yes, it was a great show. Was kinda worried after Stockholm, which wasnt really my cup of tea (dunno why, probably combination of things?) that things are going downwards after PRG+BER ... Seeing the seated section sitting down thru the set ... BUT ! The band didnt care at all ... and felt a lot of energy from them since the begining. Hail Hail kicked it off and I knew smtg is happening here.

Super show indeed. Had to have few beers later at Fiasco to absorb it... despite the prices ...
oh, hang on ... Jason and others bought me few! Thanks! :o

Yeah, Stockholm for me was just OK. I guess I expected a bit more, but that entire day for me was very anxious and couldn't enjoy the show fully. It's so subjective in the end. My friend for exaple loved it, but she was at the front, very close center :D

Oh yes, Fiasco is THE place. And Spektrum is a beautiful venue, inside and out :)

Finally getting Breath makes this show my favourite of the tour... that and the drunken Australian in the standing section shouting at everyone to sit the f down when everyone stood up about 20 minutes before X hit the stage!!!:lol::lol:
    Haha I remember that... 8-)

Oh oh, Breath was great too. Screamed of course when I realized what it was :D
And it was pretty emotional of Eddie to say about a loss of a friend back home. I can't believe how they do it. He was so sad when they played Just breathe I think. ANd cried during it. I saw he definitely had tears in his eyes. Later, he took the wine bottle, looked up, raised it like he's toasting to that friend and then they went into Breath. It's amazing how one can get into a show even though he's really suffering about the loss of a friend. now, THAT'S being a professional. He said that he was really upset and couldn't sleep because off bad news back home, his voice was hurting too, but he really wanted it to be great when they played Oslo because they hadn't played there in forever. Awwww. But we did have a great time. :):)

Amazing pictures! NOw i can reliving the concert...... :D
  • I`m starting to believe some Pearl Jam fans are spoiled (lucky you).

I was at both the Stockholm and Oslo show, and I thought the crowds were great. Reading local press reviews, the atmosphere were better than ever seen. Not everyone in seated areas were jumping up and down though, but I was singing my heart out and really enjoying myself, and lots of people around me were standing for large parts of the show.

Obviously I preferred the standing experience in Oslo, and it was mayhem around where I stood, and whenever I glanced at the stands it looked decent there as well. Had a lot of friends seated, and I know they had the concert experience of their lives.

So if the crowd at these shows disappointed you, then I really hope I will get to experience a show where the 'crowd' lives up to the expectations. That surely has to be something special.

Although it was a great show it felt so weird to be a lone stander (at PJ show!) in my sector. Reading from the posts I guess I was lucky that at no point somebody asked me to sit down or expressed any disapproval. But throughout the show I was really hoping to get this message from Eddie (first 40 sec):

    Oh well.. :)

Inside Job and Breath :) Had already heard Leatherman at soundcheck AND seen the "Leather Man outlet" across the street (see http://lokalhistoriewiki.no/index.php/Brugata_7_%28Oslo%29), but still a song being soundchecked far from guarantees it being played. A bit oddly shaped concert hall in my opinion, and not so much energy from the crowd as far as I could tell. Long line for what I think must have been the place to get beer (I didn't drink anything at the venue anyway). Personally wasn't into X much this day. Felt they were much better at Amsterdam and especially at Copenhagen. There was this very nice and good looking security girl ;-) Kind of funny to see Mike frontstage during the X show as if he were a professional concert photographer. Speaking of which, my amateur (at least the camera is :) ) photos are at http://www.flickr.com/photos/whaley/tag ... 3D3137423/

here's one I'm particularly happy with:

Really needed some proper tunes after the entire fiasco of the night before and the day of the show.

    Boy did I get them.

    MORE FIASCO!

Ahh, Breath. That properly knocked out any negative thoughts I still had :)

Were u standing on Mike's or Stone's side? I'm desperately seeking pics of Eddie when he read my flag. I was standing right of Stone's side. Ed came over, stood in front of me and read my request written on a Norwegian flag. The next day in Copen they played it for the only time this tour & since PJ20 ;)

Finally I can write on the forum!!! Had problems entering there!

Just wanted to say thank you - thank you for coming to Oslo!!! :):)

If I am right: Thank you for making contact with me among the audience, it is still a bit
unbelieveable to me. I am in a state of happy shock!

I was in Copenhagen, you let me sing "Keep on rocking in the free world"
And I make some lyrics and songs nrk.no/urort, search for evabritt og aasmund
Stood high up to you're left in Oslo, singing some.

I believe you saw my situation! Thank you!

Thanx for the warm up band and the female singer, I hope she is fine
    now.

I regret leaving after the first extra set, ran out to find my brother
who was supposed to pick me up at 22. I didn't bring my phone...
On reflections I definately should have stayed because you left but my brother
    is still in Oslo.

It was a very very great concert for me, I didn't feel the time was
    going...

I don't go so much on concerts, but this year is a record for me, 3 concerts! (The others ended at
    22...)

I 've had problems w/people going out hearing music.
"You know how they are" my qi gong/taiji teacher says, she is right.
    True, some go there too.
My first qi gong taiji + self defence teacher knew what happened with me and said I go
there to survive. Be a massager, he said.
Forgot, but now I know more and do some energy massage.

I wish I had seen the second extra set of your concert. Heard just
a little bit as I was looking for my brother. I wrote you a letter because I
didn't get into the forum, I hope you get it. I explain more there.

Thank you again for youre music, wisdom and personalities, I am now a
    digital member ;)!

    Miss you!!!
    Have a great tour!

    You've got a friend (J. Taylor)

    Yours sincerely
    Eva-Britt Hansen

I was front and centre for Oslo.
1,2,3 with my favourites beside me on the rail.

I cried so much after he spoke about Dennis and how you should call the people you love.
It was a really personal moment of recognition of the journey that I was taking (and still am taking).
It was my little brothers birthday and I was wishing so much that he was next to me.
To have Mike mouth the words "Are you ok?" was sweet too.

I enjoyed the show so much, I had to most amazing people surrounding me and the band were so very happy.
