    The number of folks expected to be without is 64,000.

    64,000...out of how many billions?

    Relatively speaking, this is such a small percentage of overall users.

    So why has this been such a big story?

    Waste of time and resources, to me.

    Reminds me of a "headline" on MSN last week - "Gwyneth Paltrow and husband kiss in public"

    I can see the FBI being involved in this if those relatively few internet customers without access were oh lets say banking executives, oil company tycoons, the FBI director, or the president's kids...but just you, me and joe schmo...i don't think so.

    at the expense of sounding like a conspiracy theorist, which i definitely am not (usually heheee), i think there's something more than meets the eye here.

    shouldn't the FBI/CIA or whoever be more concerned with things like StuxNet? What do they care if DNS Changer bothers us a bit? Nope, something else. Someone cried, OH NOT ME! And they fixed it..for a while.
