This Friday 13th July, Hyde Park.

If you were thinking of going to see SG at HRC but were put off by the normal price (£57), you can now get tickets for £20.... ridiculous price to see such a great band. I still don't understand why they booked SG as headliners, they were never in a million years going to sell many tickets for this and now it's showing in these deals... but hey, cheap tickets for everyone. Just hope there is still a decent size crowd, it'd be a shame for the band to walk out to a half-empty Hyde Park!

I wished, basically, I could see them (since I'll be London for a few days) but the price was a little bit expensive (I saw Pearl Jam two weeks ago and my trip to London costs a little bit and my expenses aren't unlimited).

But, this morning, when I saw that, on another board, I didn't hesitate for a second.

I got them on the 2-4-1 deal that was on offer before.

They must be seriously struggling to shift tickets if they have reduced them twice!

Hmmm paid full price for ticket on or about the day they were released and now they are £20! Not good and they should offer something as compensation even if it is just a few drink vouchers or something.

Oh well I still can't wait - should be a good one!

It was too quiet and I lost count of the number of times I heard people shout "Turn it up!". The sound was way too quiet in the front and they couldn't get the balance between instruments and vocals right for a while. It seemed to improve when it rained though! But it just wasn't loud enough at any point.

Chris's vocals weren't the best I have heard from him. He kept bailing on long notes and wasn't holding the ones he stuck with.

He asked "Is there anyone out there?" as well, which was strange given that he could surely see only 20% of the place was filled.

Matt Cameron also walked off quite quickly about three minutes before Kim and Ben. He gave a brief wave and just walked off.

Slaves and Bulldozers was a very good finish with Rusty Cage leading into it. I was disappointed not to get Hands All Over though - or Loud Love.

Decent show and most of the criticisms I have were out of the band's control.

This is what people get for being organised and booking early... great show despite the crappy quiet sound, but this £20 ticket is quite a kick in the teeth after all the money I've spent on PJ tour !!!

Apart from the £20 debacle it sounds like the show was nearly pulled due to the weather. I got a confirmation e-mail saying it was still on while I was sat in a pub over the road from Hyde Park! I suppose the woodchip was a good idea or it would have been a quagmire.

Anyway to the show I managed to get right to the front four rows but and it was pretty tight down there. It only got slightly better when I got further away from the pit. I couldn't really hear Chris first few songs. It almost felt like 'Jesus Christ Pose' was played too early but it was great to hear Matt's drum intro. Quite Superunknown heavy which I enjoyed. I would of liked 'Loud Love' but can't complain I thought it was a great show that got better as it went on. 'Pretty Noose' - Not sure if they have been playing this much I was quite surprised to hear this when they didn't play 'Burden In My Hand'. Overall great show even worth the £50+ I paid!

I have been listening to Soundgarden loads since the show and am hoping they do an indoor gig here sooner rather than later.

Sorry I didn't call you, but we stayed there for four days (well three, because we visited Windsor/Stonehenge/Bath on Sunday) and we didn't even manage to do what we wanted to do (and yet, we really rushed). :oops:

Next time, we'll have to get to London a little bit longer so we can see you.

I skipped the Shepherds Bush show last year as it's not a venue I am that keen on. I wanted Brixton and now they've finally booked some shows there!
