Add another Wembley Pics thread to the accumulating masses...

These are some of the best ones from our now rather full SD card - I've just exceeded the upload limit, so the rest will have to wait ;)
(There's two vids on there too - Present tense and No More, but I'll need a bit more time to sort those out)
Anyhoo, linky to the missus's flickr site - http://www.flickr.com/gp/14463486@N00/UY5X1w

Some nice ones of Jeff at the end :)

Thank you :D We try our best!

We're both fine, still tired from queuing at silly'o'clock and getting more than a bit squished down the front, but we're doin ok :)
Was great to see you again at the meet-up... we would have come to the after gig one - someone told Jody it was at the Green man again - but when we got there it was pretty much deserted and we couldn't see anyone so we went back to crash at the hotel.

Oh, and I'll give her a little shove and get her to create an account... I'm getting bored of speaking for both of us ;)

Helloes, (it's Jody) Back to work today which is kinda sucky.

I don't know how we managed 5 gigs in a row last year. I was hobbling round like an old lady on Wednesday! I really had a great time though, just wish I could have made it to Camden market for a mooch oh well my wallet is much healthier because I didn't!

It was really great seeing the Irish element again, it did bring on a wild yearning for Italy (especially Verona).

I think we are definately going to have to make this an annual thing although next time we might need to go to the USA (which would be really cool).

Do Pearl Jam ever play in Boston, I have an Uncle there...

    Anyway, till next time.

    Jody xxx

Camera's with optical zoom are your friend. The missus and I were front and second row but we wouldn't have got pics like that without one.

It was great seeing you too... wow, so many memories of Verona there :o brought it all back.

I think we should make it a twice a year thing :) you should come to the next meet up we plan... last one was Dublin for Paddys weekend... think we're discussing Edinburgh for the next one... we'll keep ya updated.

Canon Powershot S3 IS (6 Mpix) - it has SLR styling, but it's not actually one (had a few doubts as to whether we'd get in with it) - it does have a wicked zoom though :)

Cool :) - It's a great camera as you can use it for so many situations.
Anyway, I still have the same settings loaded on as I do a lot of pics for the band I roadie for - and I use the same setup for them.

Program settings (the big 'P' off the dial on the top)
ISO Set to Auto/High depending on preference/movement of subject

    Off the function menu -
Exposure -1 (although I probably could have dropped it down a little more to remove some of the bobbling on some of the pics - unfotunately the bobbles didn't show on the lcd :( )
Auto White Balance set to Auto to compensate for changing lighting
My Colours set to Auto for the same reasons (although I usually set to vivid for my band as we don't have stage lights as good as PJ's ;) )
    BKT Off
Flash Not used as we were front and second rows
Focal Point Center Weighted Average - Second option
Video Size 640x480 30fps (We have a 4gb sd card, so big = better)
    Picture Size L (2816x2112)

Off the menu button (I'll only put in the important ones otherwise we'll be here all day)-
Flash Sync 1st Curtain (again not really imnportant as we didn't use the flash)
    Slow Syncro Off
    Red Eye Off
    Spot AE Point Center
    MF-Point Zoom On
    AF Mode Continuous
AF-assist Beam On (Was a little worried about choosing that as it's the green beam that shoots out, but it's not that visible from the stage [or so I'm told])
    Tally Lamp Off
Digital Zoom Off (the optical is much better, and the digi one will pixalate too much)
    IS Mode Shoot Only
    Converter Off

We also had continuous shooting set-up, but didn't actually use it in the end - Glad we didn't, as we ended up with nearly 500 pics without it!
    cool camera

was there no problem taking a camera like that into th arena??
No probs at all - We had a chat with Ken (the Event/Queue manager on the south entrance) before we went in as I had reservations about it, but he said it was down to band policy and that if it wasn't allowed then they would hold it in the cloakroom for me - The folks on the security check didn't bat an eyelid though :)
