Pretty standard stuff so far, not that its a bad thing, and plenty of time for all the surprises and delights to come.

I`ve actually had it as an opener twice. It`s not the strongest, but I enjoyed it more the 2nd time, since I just let it be and got into it. But like many it`s weird the first time you get it cause it`s different.
It also depends if the crowd gets right in too.
But if you stop and realize you`re at a live PJ show you shouldn`t care at all!

Don't get me wrong...I love Small Town...just a little surprised to see it as an opener. I've only been to 4 live PJ shows and could have cared less what they opened with, what came in the middle, or what they closed with! The only thing that mattered was that I was watching/listening to the best band ever and dancing my a$$ off!!

Oh yeah? Well, I've had about enough of morons and halfwits, dolts, dunces, dullards and dumbbells - and you chowderhead yokel, you blithering hayseed, you - you've had enough of me?
Small town to open, and people don't like it... my take is. PJ usually open with a slow song, and a real rocker. and small town is a mid paced sing-a-long song, and it confuses peoples feelings... just sing-a-long and get on with it.
I got it as an opener in Tampa 2003, and it was good.
