I guess that's the same Chilean that appeared on a TV show a couple of years ago singing YLB, which video went viral and even Chris Cornell watched it ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyTtQ4UZ3NI )
That Oceans video was shot in Rancagua, a couple on kilometers from Santiago
Now that my partner has fallen in love with it, "Strangest Tribe". According to the official listing at this website, it's never been played live. Does anyone know if it's ever been soundchecked? I still hope hope hope it gets played in Portland.

They pretty much knocked all mine off in the shows I went to this year. There are definitely still some PJ rarities I would love to hear, but I think the only one I'd really consider a white whale at this point is their cover/tag of It's Ok.
It was Long Road, and man, when I heard the first strum at Philly 1....well, yeah, it was awesome.
The song that you are absolutely dying to hear, but never seem to catch it live.
My choice: Hard To Imagine
I don't think I'd posted in this earlier but my white whale song WAS Long Road... 21 shows and never seen it. AND it's a pretty common opener, it's been played several time, and it's definitely in my top 10 PJ songs ever... one of my favorites, maybe even top 5.
FINALLY got it in Phoenix the other night. What a way to open the show. I knew it was going to be a good night!
And speaking of Hard to Imagine... one of my friends who was at Phoenix was saying how that's her long lost song, she'd never heard after 64 shows... I remember her telling me "I would love Hard to Imagine, I've never heard it" back in 2003... well she finally got Hard to Imagine too. It was a great night all around! She's at 65 now, I keep joking she can retire now (but she didn't, she was at SD last night too).

Very cool to hear you both got your songs. I am only 16 shows in so I guess I cannot complain anymore about H2I for a long time still .

One more night for Oceans!
Fatal is up there, but Oceans is tops. I did get Hard to Imagine!

I posted earlier in this thread that I got my white whale song in Phoenix this year. (Hard to Imagine for those keeping score). But I pose this question. Once you get your white whale do you just pick a new one...just a constant chase right? My new one would have to be Man of the Hour.

Yes, always pick a new one!
I can't wait until I can pick a new one
With that being said I saw several of my must sees this tour (All those Yesterdays, Oceans, Dissident, Comeback)

for sure you pick a new one!
Can't wait for next tour so I hopefully knock another one or two out. I got probably 3 of my top 5 at the Phoenix show this time around.

I would consider some of the picks in this thread to be more "holy grail"-ish than "white whale"-ish.
A song like "Strangest Tribe" or "Black, Red, Yellow" aren't really songs you'll miss, or almost get, should have gotten, or could get that you love but keep on missing. They are songs that aren't even played to begin with... Sort of...
"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"
The album songs that I'm still chasing are: Oceans, Sometimes, Red Mosquito, All Those Yesterdays, All or None, Bushleaguer, Ghost, My Father's Son, Swallowed Whole and Sleeping By Myself. Once I knock all of the album songs off, I'll worry about Lost Dogs.
The most common song that I haven't heard is Long Road.
Was really surprised that we got in in London, 2007. Felt like that song was "over with" from a band standpoint even then. Eddie did not don the GW mask though. I really dig it though, to bad the verses are a bit set in a specific time compared to the timeless and godly chorus.
