Cabs had this when I was in college. If you threw up in their cab you had to pay a cleaning fee otherwise they'd drive you right to the police station.

Gotta say I don't blame them, who wants to clean that shit up? Although it may deter people from taking cabs...which is bad news. I'll stick to the train and just get yelled at by the conductor

Thats precisely what I was wondering -- how many people are so fucked up that they cant roll the window down? This may cause more drive-by-vomittings. Chicago's got more problems.

I have definitely been in a cab more than once where a friend has puked. One of the times, we got thrown out of the cab in a not so nice area of the city very late at night....glad we made it out of that one alive.
